An impressive French Georgian Silver Paste drop pendant of grand scale and exquisite detail. Composed of articulated tiers of pierced openwork, its floral and foliate motifs unfurl into a dramatic pear-shaped drop framed by a halo of twinkling stones. Clear, old-style Paste stones are complemented by several domed Paste centres with a subtle pale-yellow glow, all set in traditional closed-back collets that heighten their candlelit sparkle. At 34g, it has a satisfyingly substantial presence without sacrificing grace.

Hand-finished throughout, the layered plates and tiny jump-ring articulations give beautiful movement and animation to the jewel. Thoughtfully designed for versatility, the pendant can be separated and worn in two different configurations, allowing you to tailor the drama to the occasion.

Pendant section option 1 is 33mm long x 51mm wide.

Condition:

EXCELLENT: Paste stones are bright with light, even age-related abrasions and occasional natural clouding typical of antique foil-backed Paste. The settings and articulated links are secure with a pleasing, historic patina to the Silver and gentle wear to high points. No visible losses or later restorations evident under close inspection.
