Besonderheiten: Dieser 11 Jahre alte Single Malt Whisky aus der renommierten Strathmill-Destillerie wurde von dem unabhängigen Abfüller Murray McDavid in seiner Benchmark-Serie veröffentlicht. Nach der traditionellen Reifung in Bourbonfässern erhielt der Whisky ein zweijähriges Finish in edelsüssen Tokaji-Weinfässern aus Ungarn. Diese besondere Nachreifung verleiht dem Strathmill eine einzigartige Kombination aus fruchtigen und würzigen Aromen. Die Abfüllung ist limitiert auf 1.436 Flaschen und wurde weder gefärbt noch kühlgefiltert abgefüllt.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Einladende Noten von reifen Früchten und Honig mit dezenten Gewürzen.
  • Gaumen: Am Gaumen entfaltet sich eine harmonische Süsse, ergänzt durch würzige Akzente und einen Hauch von Nuss.
  • Abgang: Lang und warm, mit einem Finale von Trockenfrüchten und einem Hauch von Eiche.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Strathmill-Destillerie, gegründet im Jahr 1891, liegt im Herzen der schottischen Speyside-Region und ist bekannt für die Produktion von hochwertigen Single Malts. Murray McDavid, der unabhängige Abfüller dieses Whiskys, wurde 1994 gegründet und hat sich auf die Kunst der Reifung schottischer Whiskys in mit Wein und Spirituosen vorbelegten Fässern spezialisiert. Unter der Leitung von Dean Jode, dem Head of Whisky Creations, entstehen Abfüllungen, die für ihre Komplexität und ihren Charakter bekannt sind.

Good but confusing instructions
It is very glowy. After spraying this on my husband commented on why I was sweating so much 😹 I told him it’s my face mist spf. I have very dry and very sensitive skin and this has not broken me out (yet). I’ve used it for about a week now. I don’t know how much sun protection I’m really getting though. And reapplying it all through out the day, esp in the summer will lead to very very oily looking skin. It’s also confusing because it says do not spray directly onto face. (?)
