Come Sail Away ! is a board game for 1 to 4 players in which you take on the challenge of guiding passengers aboard your luxury cruise ship as smoothly as possible. You earn points as you guide them to their favorite cabins and amenities. This wonderfully well-thought-out and beautifully illustrated game is easy to learn but always challenging.
The goal of Come Sail Away! is to efficiently distribute passengers across your cruise ship and score as many points as possible along the way. You earn points by filling every room on the ship, and you can earn bonus points by filling certain rooms faster than your opponents. You can also gain extra benefits by escorting passengers with luggage to their cabins, which advances you on the baggage track. This earns you additional small cabins, new passengers, and bonus points. But beware: if you don't plan well, you'll end up with a group of unhappy passengers!
Each player manages their own luxury cruise ship, filled with various cabins and amenities. Each turn, you choose one of your two passenger cards and place the passenger pieces from the card into the appropriate rooms on your ship. Each cabin and amenities has its own placement rules. Passengers are moved one at a time, mancala-style, with you choosing where to start. Full rooms yield bonuses and end-game points, but as you fill spaces, the available space on your ship becomes increasingly scarce.
Besides managing your own ship, you also have to keep a close eye on your fellow players, because there are only a limited number of popularity bonuses that can be earned.
The player who collects the most points while keeping his passengers happy wins the game!
