Paracord bzw. 550 cord ist ein dünnes, leichtes Kernmantel-Seil aus Nylon, das ursprünglich als Fangleine bei Fallschirmen eingesetzt wurde. Nach dem Absprung wurden die Leinen für viele andere Zwecke genutzt. Heute wird Paracord auch zum Basteln von Hundeleinen Halsbändern oder auch Geschirren und vielen weiteren Dingen benutzt. Paracord gibt es in vielen unterschiedlichen Stärken und Farben.

Die Ummantelung besteht aus einer hohen Anzahl von eng ineinander verflochtenen Fäden, was eine gleichmäßig glatte Oberfläche ergibt. Da die Leine ausschließlich aus Nylon gefertigt wird, ist sie einigermaßen elastisch.

Es hat eine Mindestbruchlast von 249 kg.

Die Leine kann in der Waschmaschine gewaschen werden, am besten in einem Wäschesack.

I have the dark green sheets and bought these for extra cases to match. I would give them 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that they smell absolutely horrible. I wish I could accurately describe what it smells like— it’s just not good and for some reason, body heat only exacerbates it and makes the smell even worse and I wake up feeling like a smell like the sheets… which isn’t a good thing. Besides that, I do really enjoy them. They feel great on your skin and I love the color. I wish the smell didn’t kill them so badly for me ☹️
