2013 nahm bei der legendären 16-tägigen Trekkingtour rund um das Annapurnamassiv die Begeisterung für das Himalaja und seiner vielschichtigen Bevölkerung in Nepal seinen Anfang. Sie führte von Besisahar auf ca. 800 m durch alle Klimazonen über den 5.416 m hohen Throng La (Pass) hinunter ins Kali Gandaki Tal und zurück nach Pokhara.
