Besonderheiten: Der Inchgower 2011/2026 ist ein 14-jähriger Single Malt Whisky aus Schottland, konkret aus der Region Speyside. Die Reifung erfolgt in einem First Fill Oloroso Sherry Barrique, wodurch sich ein intensives Geschmacksprofil entwickeln konnte. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 52,7 % wird dieser Whisky in Cask Strength und ohne Kühlfilterung abgefüllt. Die Abfüllung gehört zur Cask Masters Serie von Brave New Spirits, einem unabhängigen Abfüller.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: In der Nase entfalten sich Noten von schwarzer Johannisbeere, begleitet von dunklem Toffee und einer feinen Zitronenzeste.
  • Gaumen: Am Gaumen zeigt sich eine vollmundige Textur mit intensivem Karamell und würziger Rösteiche, ergänzt durch eine Spur verkohlten Holzes.

I bought this because every sunblock I own eventually gets in my eyes and burns the living daylights out of them. I prefer to use something that isn't laden with chemicals, is cruelty free and reef safe so this looked like it would fit the bill and indeed, it does. It is a true "no tears" formula which I very much appreciate. As with so many zinc based sunblocks there's still a slight "Kabuki mask" effect but it isn't as bad as some of the other zinc products. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's easy to spread because it doesn't have a lot of "slip", doesn't glide like the non-zinc products. You do have to work with it for awhile to get rid of the decidedly chalky consistency but once you get going it seems to be okay. I think somebody else mentioned using a moisturizer before you put it on which seems like good idea even though this is supposed to be moisturizing. Would I purchase this again? I'm pretty sure I will because the "no tears" aspect of the product is important to me. I'll probably use it with a light carrier oil on my face first, let that oil sink in and then put this on top.
