The electric vehicle revival reflects negotiations between public policy, which promotes clean, fuel-efficient vehicles, and the auto industry, which promotes high-performance vehicles.

Electric cars were once as numerous as internal combustion engine cars before all but vanishing from American roads around World War I. Now, we are in the midst of an electric vehicle revival, and the goal for a sustainable car seems to be within reach. In Age of Auto Electric, Matthew N. Eisler shows that the halting development of the electric car in the intervening decades was a consequence of tensions between environmental, energy, and economic policy imperatives that informed a protracted reappraisal of the automobile system. These factors drove the electric vehicle revival, argues Eisler, hastening automaking's transformation into a science-based industry in the process.

Challenging the common assumption that the electric vehicle revival is due to the development of better batteries, Age of Auto Electric instead focuses on changing environmental and socioeconomic conditions, energy and environmental policies, systems of energy conversion and industrial production, and innovation practices that affected the prevalence and popularity of electric vehicles in recent decades. Eisler describes a world in transition from legacy to alternative energy-conversion systems and the promises, compromises, new problems, and unintended consequences that enterprise has entailed.

So convenient
Color: White, Size: 5FT
Perfect function for my charging system and the length is a right to my night stand. I like that it has surge protection, also I can plug in my phone and watch charger directly. I would buy it again next time.

This product is truly wonderful. I was impressed by the quality of the wood and its attractive appearance. The fact that it can be used on both sides is even better. It's the ideal size for me. Eaase of assembly.

Pretty, practical, and very on-trend
I don’t have kids, but I grabbed this 4-pack of scalloped nursery shelves for a couple rooms because the look is everywhere right now and I’m not immune. The scalloped front is charming in person. It softens the lines without feeling cutesy. The pine grain adds a warm, natural vibe you can dress up or keep simple. A few real-life notes: - Entryway test: I put one by the door and used the round hooks for umbrellas and a dog leash. It’s been a tidy little upgrade. The spherical hooks are smoother than I expected and they do not catch fabric. - Kitchen mini-gallery: Another shelf became a spice and perfume bar with a few small framed prints tucked behind. The 24 inch width and roughly 4 to 5 inch depth make it easy to mix books, jars, and small art without feeling crowded. - Studio stash: Two went into my workspace for sketchbooks and tape dispensers. I like the keyhole mounts and how they sit flush. Everything is reachable and off the desk. Install was straightforward with the hardware included. The video on the product page helped me finish the first one quickly. After that it was rinse and repeat. They feel solid on the wall. I kept the load under the listed limit and have not seen any sagging. Pine is light and sturdy enough for what I am storing. Style-wise, the scalloped profile hits that sweet spot of cottage and clean modern. Even without kids, these make a room feel more finished with very little effort. If you want a quick refresh that is functional and current, this set is an easy win. Small heads-up: check the orientation on the keyholes before drilling. On one shelf mine were reversed compared to the other side. It was an easy fix but worth noticing. Otherwise, no complaints. Good value for four shelves. Versatile. The scalloped look is super trendy right now.
