British folk pop rock act Mumford & Sons formed in London in 2007. The lineup consists of lead singer and guitarist Marcus Mumford, keyboardist Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall on banjo, and Ted Dwane on bass and backing vocals. Rising to prominence in the West London folk scene alongside artists like Noah and the Whale and Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons toured the UK in 2008, appearing in the Glastonbury Festival. 

The band released Sigh No More in the UK in 2009, and shortly after in February of 2010 in the US. It nearly topped both the UK Albums Chart and US Billboard 200 at #2. The record was awarded Best British Album at the BRIT Awards in 2011, and was the third most digitally downloaded album in the US that same year. 

Two records followed, 2012's Babel, and Wilder Mind in 2015. While Babel adhered to the sound and style already cultivated in the band's first album, Wilder Mind saw the band enlisting help from additional musicians such as The National's Aaron Dessner. The album charted at #1 in 7 countries, including, of course, the US and the UK, along with Ireland, Australia, Canada, Norway, and the Netherlands. To date, the album has sold over 1.3 million copies.

The latest offering from the band, Delta, is an expansion of the now classic Mumford & Sons formula. New layers borrowing elements of jazz and electronic music can be heard throughout the album. The record is pressed on sand colored double vinyl.
