This device designed by Specialized Masochism is made to help develop absolute strength, contact strength, and endurance of the fingers in any grip position. Besides a generous depth and roundover, offset internal chambers help maximize force production and minimize strain across each finger. Designed with overcoming isometric exercises as a focus, the Overcome excels with finger curls emphasizing maximal recruitment, rate of force development, and capacity. This is done through a generous edge depth (28mm) and significant roundover (8mm) with a shallow internal chamfer (7mm/1mm) in order to provide a supportive architecture to the DIP joint during flexion, where the stronger MCP and PIP joints otherwise cause this to hyperextend under load. Utilizes a stepped unlevel design to modify edge “height” based on relative finger lengths. 

Additional features across the Organic series includes remodeled finger architecture, unique edge design per finger based on size and form factor, increased minimum breaking strength and cyclical loading strength, “adducting” space to allow fingers to draw together, bowed side walls to prevent accidental nesting, smoothed backing plate to minimize finger tip abrasion, modified texture to provide consistent grip and be easy to brush, tapered outer walls to minimize thumb interference, redesigned cord ports which cinch cord while switching sides while allowing personalized adjustment, asymmetrical layout for improved balance, internal chamfer for finger position feedback, contrast lettering for “left” and “right” orientation, and vibrant colorway.

The ring and index fingers are even, the pinky is between the two options, and the sizes are a little broader on each end. No inserts are included. It will fit a broad group of people quite well. The versions available on the Specialized Masochism website are made to order to an individual which is why there are delays and greater expenses.
