Bring rare beauty and fascinating behavior to your aquarium with the Bloody Mary Hillstream Loach (Gastromyzon sp. ‘Bloody Mary’), also known as the Double Red Tail Borneo Loach. This extraordinary hillstream loach features stunning blood-red tail fins and vibrant markings, making it a showstopper in any aquascaped or river-style tank. Sought after by collectors and aquascapers alike, the Bloody Mary Hillstream Loach offers both visual appeal and dynamic algae-eating action.

The Bloody Mary Hillstream Loach is native to the fast-flowing, oxygen-rich streams of Borneo. This unique species displays deep red tail and dorsal fins, earning its “Double Red Tail” nickname, contrasted against a streamlined, mottled body adapted perfectly for clinging to rocks and grazing on algae. These loaches are peaceful, active, and thrive in tanks that mimic their natural environment, making them ideal for planted tanks, river biotopes, and community aquariums.

Bloody Mary Hillstream Loaches remain compact, typically reaching 2–2.5 inches (5–6.5 cm) in length. Their flattened bodies, broad pectoral fins, and spectacular twin red tails set them apart from other hillstream loaches. Watch them glide effortlessly along glass, rocks, and driftwood, busily grazing on biofilm and algae, helping to keep your aquarium spotless and lively.

Double Red Tail Borneo Loaches are peaceful and do best in groups of three or more. They coexist beautifully with other small, non-aggressive fish such as Rasboras, White Cloud Minnows, Danios, Otocinclus, and freshwater shrimp. Avoid keeping them with large or territorial species that may outcompete them for food or space. Providing plenty of smooth stones, caves, and strong water movement will encourage natural behavior and vibrant coloration.

At our Splashy Fish tropical fish store, our Bloody Mary Hillstream Loach for sale and other freshwater fish for sale are carefully selected and packed with love! My golden retriever’s really enjoy these chew toys. They are pretty durable and last awhile. They are hard plastic but they do get rough edges after they’ve been chewed in for awhile

Mixed Results: SIHRMIU Dog Chew Toys Offered Stimulation, Limited Interest from Aggressive Chewers
I recently purchased the SIHRMIU 2 Pack Dog Chew Toys for Aggressive Chewers with hopes of providing my energetic dogs with both entertainment and stimulation. While these toys boasted durability and were designed to alleviate boredom, my experience with them yielded mixed results. Upon receiving the chew toys, I appreciated their sturdy construction and the promise of durability, which was essential given my dogs' penchant for aggressive chewing. The variety of textures and shapes seemed promising, offering potential for engaging play sessions that could keep my pets occupied and mentally stimulated. Initially, my dogs showed some interest in the toys, eagerly sniffing and exploring them. They seemed intrigued by the different textures and shapes, and I was hopeful that these toys would provide the entertainment they needed. However, as my dogs began to interact more with the toys, it became evident that their interest was short-lived. While they engaged with the toys for brief periods, they quickly lost interest and returned to their usual chewing favorites. Despite their designation for aggressive chewers, the toys did not seem to withstand the intense chewing of my pets as well as expected. Within a short time, I noticed signs of wear and tear, with pieces starting to break off. While the SIHRMIU dog chew toys offered some stimulation and diversion for my dogs, they ultimately failed to hold their interest or stand up to their aggressive chewing habits. While they may be suitable for dogs with less voracious chewing tendencies, they were not a perfect fit for my pets. In conclusion, while these chew toys have potential and may work well for some dogs, they fell short of expectations for my aggressive chewers. I appreciate the effort put into their design and durability, but unfortunately, they did not meet the needs of my furry companions.

Works great for my goldendoodle. It’s held up well to two dogs and lots of playing. It’s nice and large and has held up outdoors in Michigan winters
