The Philips 4000 Series Smart Deadbolt offers multiple secure ways to unlock your door, including a PIN code, mechanical key, or smartphone app via Z-Wave. This flexibility gives you the modern convenience we all need while maintaining top-notch security standards (ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 certified).

The lock integrates seamlessly with Z-Wave smart home systems, enabling customized automation. For example, you can sync it with smart lights and thermostats, so lights turn on and temperature adjusts when you enter or leave your house, enhancing convenience and security. 

With additional features like an Away Mode to limit access when you're away and an auto-lock function, this deadbolt provides peace of mind by automating security tasks. The lock is easy to install, requiring just a screwdriver, making it accessible to any homeowner.

Installation

Follow the user manual carefully to install the lock on your door. Once it's installed and fully functional from they keypad, you can include it to your Z-Wave system. To add the door lock to your Z-Wave network, put your hub in inclusion (pairing) mode, then perform the following sequence on the door lock: 

• Press X twice
• Enter the master PIN code
• Press the checkmark key once (you'll get a green light)
• Press 0
• Press 1
• Press the checkmark key once (you'll get a green light)

To exclude or remove your Z-Wave door lock from the hub, put the system in exclusion mode, then perform the following sequence on the door lock: 

• Press X twice
• Enter the master PIN code
• Press the checkmark key once (you'll get a green light)
• Press 0
• Press 2
• Press the checkmark key once (you'll get a green light)
