Stunning and very rare vintage skirt by Alexander McQueen, from Spring/Summer 2000 - the exact same bird embroidery shown here on a shawl on the runway. Starting with the fabulous and detailed multicolor Asian inspired embroidery, which features vibrant birds popping against muted and pastel floral, with subtle hints of metallic here and there. The design is also unique, with a low waist and offset flap vent that almost looks like deconstructed trousers. The rayon and silk blend fabric is medium-weight, and comes in a minty pale blue infused grey, fully lined in baroque jacquard silk. Zips at backside. An amazing piece of fashion history created during McQueen's lifetime.
