This series, designated CP1, represents the inaugural limited edition from Classic Pens (CP), produced in 1990 through a collaborative effort between Classic Pens, Sheaffer, and Murelli. Limited to 250 units worldwide, the CP1 series is characterized by its exclusivity and rarity.
This particular specimen, serial number 133/250, is a Sheaffer Legacy CP1, featuring a full sterling silver overlay with the distinctive "Vannerie" (basketweave) pattern, exclusive to this Classic Pens Targa edition. The pen is laser-engraved with the CP1 logo and its unique limited edition number, while the cap band bears the Sheaffer manufacturer's name and the London Assay Office sterling silver hallmark.
The pen is in excellent, never-inked condition, exhibiting no damage, dents, or wear to the sterling silver "Vannerie" pattern or the 23K gold-electroplated clip. The pen has a 14K/585 solid gold Broad nib. The pen utilizes a Sheaffer ink converter system, and is also compatible with Sheaffer ink cartridges.
