HM complex is designed to support antioxidant defence, while promoting healthy liver and immune function.* A blend of ingredients, including chlorella, lipoic acid, N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC), selenium and vitamin C, scavenges free radicals. These antioxidants may also help regulate oxidative stress induced by heavy metals - such as mercury, arsenic, cadmium, lead, and tin - that results from common, mild environmental exposure. In addition, NAC provides important support fort he liver by enhancing glutathione concentration. Similarly, I-methionine, an essential amino acid, supports glutatione production and encourages healthy liver function, including phase II detoxification pathways.* HM Complex also contains modified citrus pectin and zinc.* The unique characteristic of modified citrus pectin is that it has a low molecular weight, which allows it to easily pass through the intestinal barrier.* Zinc is essential for a wide range of physiological functions and is part of a cysteine-rich metal-binding protein.* By promoting healthy neutrophil, natural killer cell, and T-lymphocyte function, zinc plays an important role in supporting the body's defence system.*
