Three hundred years ago, intellectuals of the European Enlightenment constructed a mythology of technology. Influenced by a confluence of humanism, colonialism, and racism, this mythology ignored local wisdom and indigenous innovation, deeming it primitive. Today, we have slowly come to realize that the legacy of this mythology is haunting us. Designers understand the urgency of reducing humanity's negative environmental impact, yet perpetuate the same mythology of technology that relies on exploiting nature. Responding to climate change by building hard infrastructures and favoring high-tech homogenous design, we are ignoring millennia-old knowledge of how to live in symbiosis with nature. Without implementing soft systems that use biodiversity as a building block, designs remain inherently unsustainable. Lo-TEK, derived from Traditional Ecological Knowledge, is a cumulative body of multigenerational knowledge, practices, and beliefs, countering the idea that indigenous innovation is primitive and exists isolated from technology. It is sophisticated and designed to sustainably work with complex ecosystems. With a foreword by anthropologist Wade Davis and four chapters spanning Mountains, Forests, Deserts, and Wetlands, this book explores thousands of years of human wisdom and ingenuity from 18 countries including Peru, the Philippines, Tanzania, Kenya, Iran, Iraq, India, and Indonesia. We rediscover an ancient mythology in a contemporary context, radicalizing the spirit of human nature. The tactile reading experience of Lo-TEK reflects the ingenuity of carefully selected projects with sophisticated design details: copper highlights the value of ancient knowledge, a cardboard hardcover echoes rawness, and the Swiss binding showcases an open spine and reveals the construction of the book, just as the book discloses hidden technological knowledge.

yoga socks
I’m a weirdo and don’t like to walk around barefoot. So, these help me feel like I’ve got socks on while allowing my toes to breathe. I just wear them around the house. They can work as flipflop socks for a quick trip to the mailbox. I do like to randomly hit the occasional yoga pose so the grippiness is helpful in that regard. I have wide feet and have not found the toe openings to be tight or any other fit problems. So far they have survived standard machine washing.Unfortunately, when I first tried on a pair, the material started to rip. I wear a 7-7.5 shoe size. I think these are made for smaller feet. The material is thin and doesn't stretch. The colors are pretty and it's a good price. I have to return them due to being too small. If you have smaller feet, they are worth trying.

My Favorite Style of Yoga Socks — I Love These
There are so many types of yoga socks out there, but this style is my absolute favorite. These toeless yoga socks are perfect: no individual toe slots, crew‑length coverage, and solid grippies on the bottom. I love them so much. They stay put, they feel great, and they give me the barefoot freedom I want without slipping around on the mat. Total win.

Shimmer, Shine, and All the Glitz ✨💖
Color: Diamond White
I am a girl who loves to shimmer, shine, glitz, and glow, so this Boko Highlighter Powder Spray was an absolute delight to try! It adds a gorgeous sparkling finish that really bedazzles my skin, making me feel extra glamorous whether I’m going out or just playing with my makeup. The spray is easy to apply and gives a smooth, even shimmer without feeling gritty or heavy. I’ve been using it for daily wear, as well as for little festival vibes and fun nights out, and it really catches the light beautifully. If you love sparkle and want to elevate your glow game, this is such a fun, high-quality product to add to your collection! 🌟💎✨

Classic old-fashioned presentation, versatile uses
Color: Diamond White, Color: Diamond White
I loved the presentation of this glitter in an old-fashioned atomizer perfume bottle with a pink squeeze puff. Because glitter powder is not prone to evaporation, an atomizer is actually a great way to package powder. I tried this product with the atomizer and without. Honestly, I was just looking for some sparkles on my cheekbones and a glitter streak in my hair for a New Years Party. The instructions advised that for a targeted glitter application, spray the glitter on your hand and apply it with a brush. I found that this way left too much glitter behind on my hand. Instead, I shook some glitter onto a piece of paper and mixed some with Aquaphor for application on my face. This helped the glitter adhere to my skin and lasted for hours. I mixed some glitter into hair gel and applied it to a streak in my hair. The larger pieces of silver glitter really sparkled this way. Overall, this packaging looks great and would be functional if you were looking for an all-over application. Otherwise, just using a simple bottle works as well.
