Cerussite is an interesting mineral, forming in an array of fascinating crystal formations and bizarre twinning habits. It is easily identifiable by its heavy weight, brilliant adamantine luster, and crystal habits. Forming some of the most interesting, complex, and varied crystals and groupings in the mineral kingdom, the most sought after formation is the cyclic sixling-twin habit.

From a 2013 find, Reticulated Cerussite has a very high density and consists of intricately crisscrossed, complex networks of intergrown, bladed crystals. Commonly referred to as “Snowflake” Cerussite, it gets it namesake when viewed straight on axis; the strict branching of 60° twinning angles has to repeat multiple times to form a repeated hexagonal pattern, a geometry analogous to snowflakes.

Cerussite is a stone of inspiration that instills the willingness to overcome difficulties, aids with our transformation into enlightened beings, and gives hope to those who feel overwhelmed by life.

Had for just over 9 years now and still pretty solid

I ordered this chair back in December 2015 for our front office, and it's been moved to our back shop where we fabricate. We're not a gentle work space by any stretch of the imagination; we build stuff and it's messy, lots of tools etc. This chair has held up surprisingly well! The faux leather is delaminating almost entirely on the seat but honestly, I'd expect that for faux leather on something that is used daily. The seat pad, in my opinion, has gotten de-poofed. So it's not plush anymore but still usable. I've asked the guy that's using it if they want an upgrade/update and they said they like it and don't want to change it out just yet. That's saying something! The size is nice and wide. We've had a range of differently sized folks sit in the chair over the years and the seat was always comfortable (less now without so much seat poof), I was able to sit cross-legged and the whole chair felt sturdy then as it does now. All of the standards functions you'd want an office chair to do, it can still do: it goes up and down smoothly, it rolls just fine, it's still pivot-reclines comfortably and doesn't feel like it's going to topple. I like it!
