Springy Cheviot Combed Wool Top for Spinning, Felting, and Dyeing

This undyed Cheviot wool top is a resilient, medium-grade spinning fiber valued for its elasticity, durability, and distinctive crimp. Prepared as a combed top, the fibers are aligned parallel and the shorter fibers removed, creating a smooth preparation that drafts steadily and spins into strong yarn.

Cheviot wool is known for its helical crimp, which gives the fiber a lively bounce and natural memory. Yarns spun from Cheviot tend to hold their shape well, making it a practical choice for garments and textiles that benefit from structure and durability.

Naturally light cream to off-white, this fiber can be used as-is for natural wool projects or as a base for hand dyeing with acid dyes and other protein-fiber dye methods.

With a medium micron range and longer staple length, Cheviot drafts smoothly on both spinning wheels and drop spindles while also felting reliably for needle or wet felting projects.

Great reference
Format: Paperback
I used this reference a good but when I was new to practice in a walk-in clinic. From animal bites to corneal abrasions to toenail avulsions, it gave concise treatment recommendations that helped me through my cases. While I need to rely on it a lot less now, I did purchase this to update an older edition and I’ve been equally happy with it

Great book
Format: Paperback
I worked in a setting where I was the only nurse for hundreds of inmates in a Max prison. I used this book to assist me in providing care to patients with their emergencies. It helped me decide how to handle situations where I had to intelligently explain a medical issue to a on call MD or chart in a correct manner. This was my own personal book and glad to have it. I believe I initially found the title from a ER MD who recommended it. This is the updated copy, I gave my old copy to a non medical neighbor who found it useful.
