This vibrant Sussex Pinot Noir is a finely crafted expression of site and variety—juicy, crunchy, and brimming with energy, yet elegantly structured. Grown on clay-rich soils in the Sussex Downs, the wine shows impressive depth and poise, with concentrated notes of wild bramble, black cherry, and ripe damson. These rich fruit layers are lifted by the variety’s signature perfumed aromatics—violet, subtle fennel, and a thread of dry spice add intrigue and aromatic complexity. On the palate, medium-light, chalky tannins bring a refined texture, while bright acidity remains seamlessly integrated, lending freshness without sharpness. The finish is long and harmonious, with all elements drawing to a poised, complete close.

Hand-harvested from estate-grown vines, this wine is crafted from Burgundy clones 777 (75%) and 828 (25%). Fermentation took place over 10 days in stainless steel, with gentle pump-overs twice daily to extract colour, flavour, and fine tannins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine saw five months of light oak contact before a careful filtration and bottling.

Delicious served on its own at cellar temperature, this Pinot Noir is equally compelling with seasonal game, lamb, or lighter red meat dishes. It shines alongside earthy mushroom preparations and hearty, protein-rich bean dishes—making it a versatile companion to both refined and rustic fare.
