Our Travertine Venetian Plaster is developed with the latest in admixture technologies all blended with high quality microfiltered lime, marble powder and graded marble grains. This plaster comes in a white base that can be tinted. Travertine can be used on interiors as well as exteriors with 10% Pumice Pozzolan and should be applied in a minimum of 2 coats over our interior or exterior supplied quartz stone primer. Travertine is a venetian plaster with a specific grain to powder ratio to ensure great compaction and easy drag finish with a grain that easily opens and changes color. Our plasters are using high amounts of lime, making them more workable, easier to apply, and less prone to application difficulties, including pealing while burnishing. The final appearance of Travertine can have subtle cloudy affects, matte to satin finishes and medium to heavy textures including old world, drag or stamp finishes. Travertine will compact and burnish to a soft shine, with less chatter marks and a more uniform overall stone look, so those desiring truly monolithic designs for custom feature walls etc. Very specific grains are selected for this finish and these powders must be hand sifted in order to remove certain impurities in the marble powder, in order to achieve the exact ratio of grains to powder desired. This is why Travertine is more rare to find on the Venetian plaster market, and is usually seen at a higher price point.

A wide range of interior and exterior textures can be achieved with our Travertine plaster; including distressed stone and natural stone appearance looks. The most uniform and compact or dragged stone effects are created with Travertine and is always a great choice for prestigious columns or feature walls.
