Bosch LBB-1965/00 Plena message manager is a high performance, highly versatile stand-alone digital message player. Applications range from spot announcements in supermarkets and theme parks to warning and evacuation messages in emergency situations.
Messages
Up to 12 messages can be stored in the internal 64Mbit EEPROM without the need for data retention battery backup. Each message can have any length within the total available capacity. A PC uploads messages and configurations via RS-232 to the unit, which can then operate without a PC.The standard WAV format is used for messages with sample rates of 8 to 24 kHz with 16-bit word length (linear PCM). This gives up to 500 sec of recording time with a CD-quality signal-to-noise ratio.
The use of linear PCM instead of a compressed audio format, such as MP3, ADPCM, and u-law/A-law, ensures high-quality playback of all types of audio signals, including sound effects and special tones such as attention chimes.
The unit has 12 contact closure trigger inputs for announcements. Each can be configured for a sequence of up to 4 messages from those available. In this way, messages can be used in combination with other messages, optimizing flexibility and storage space usage.
When used together with the 6-zone LBB 1925/10 Plena System Pre-Amplifier, zone selection can be configured for each trigger input. The message manager communicates this selection to the LBB 1925/10 Pre-Amplifier via an RS-232 connection. Continuous activation of a trigger input causes the corresponding message sequence to repeat.
Trigger Inputs
The trigger inputs have a serial priority, i.e., input 1 has priority over input 2, input 2 over input 3, etc. The high priority trigger inputs 1 to 6 are only accessible as contacts on the rear panel to prevent accidental use. The lower priority trigger inputs 7 to 12 are sold separately as trigger switches on the front panel.Integrity and Dependability
It can also play emergency/evacuation messages as it fulfills the IEC 60849 standard. The micro-controller continually checks the data integrity of the system, and a watchdog circuit, in turn, checks the micro-controller. The unit monitors the D/A converter with a pilot tone, and the high priority trigger inputs (1 to 6) for cable short circuits and breaks. A 24V battery backup connection with automatic fail-safe provides continued operation if the mains power should fail.A 20 kHz pilot tone can be mixed with the output signal to supervise the link to the next amplifier. This also works for loudspeaker supervision in combination with 20 kHz detectors. Any failure causes a red LED fault indication and activates a fault output contact.
Loop-Through Facility
It provides a loop-through facility with balanced XLR and unbalanced cinch inputs and outputs. This allows the unit to be inserted into an existing audio link. As long as no announcements are playing, the signal input is routed to the output. If an announcement begins, the input signal is interrupted and the announcement is routed to the output.Updating
Messages and configuration settings are uploaded from a PC. After uploading, the trigger inputs 7 to 12 can be configured by using the front panel switches, without the need for a new upload or even a PC. Message content can be monitored using a headphone jack (sold separately).General

Fun while it lasted

I have a 2-year-old Yorkie who absolutely loves chasing balls, so I was excited to try this toy thinking it would keep him entertained for hours. Unfortunately, it didn’t hold up well. As soon as he caught it, he quickly bit the plastic piece off within just a few minutes.
I understand that dogs can be tough on toys, especially with their natural hunting instincts, but I expected this to be a bit more durable. It just doesn’t seem sturdy enough for even a small dog who likes to chew and chase.
In my opinion, this toy may be better suited for cats or very gentle play rather than active dogs.

Our Yorkie Puppy Loves This Toy!!!

Warning: your pet may become completely obsessed
I’ve had this toy for about a year for my Yorkshire Terrier, Gia, and it’s easily the most successful toy purchase I’ve ever made. We even had to replace the first one after she loved it a little too much (chewed the string off), and have since bought more as gifts for friends’ pets. Great toy for small dogs (too fragile for bigger dogs) and active, young cats.)
What we love:
* Endless engagement: Gia ignores all her other toys and goes straight for this every time
* Interactive features: Subtle beeping + changing colored lights + unpredictable rolling patterns keep her hooked
* Energy burner: Perfect for indoor play on hardwood floors—she will chase it nonstop
* Rechargeable: Battery lasts several hours, even with frequent use
* Durability: Holds up well considering how rough she plays
Real-life note:
Gia will literally bring this toy to me to get me involved—and I have to limit her playtime because she won’t stop on her own.
Bottom line:
If you have a high-energy dog (or even a playful cat), this isn’t just a toy—it becomes their favorite activity… and possibly their entire personality.

This is a great ball for high energy dogs.

I have a Belgian Malinois, so you can imagine the Maligator jaws. Just opened this today and let her play with it indoors. She LOVES IT. It wore her out and it’s a toy she can really stay focused on without needing me to throw or roll for her. It moves on its own! I supervised her play. I was hoping it was too big to get under the couch, but no. It goes right under it. I had to block off the gap so I didn’t have to keep getting it out from under for her. The outter “shell” is very durable! When she had resting moments, she chewed it pretty good - I could hear the material squeaking against her teeth. I was worried she was tearing it up, but nope! Not a mark on it. It’s easy to set up and operate. It needed charging before play. After hours of play, she was able to somehow unscrew the outter shell. This concerned me bc the smaller, inner ball mechanism came out but I saw it right away and was able to put it back together. So, make sure it’s screwed together tightly (which I thought I had done without breaking it) and check it from time to time to make sure it hasn’t loosened. This is a great ball for her incredible high energy drive. It gives her the work and fun play she needs to get tired, which I love. This toy is on the expensive end, but so far it’s worth it. Now we’ll see how long it lasts!

Great ball for limited entertainment. Replaceable outer shell is an amazing option!

Bought this for our 45lb, ball-obsessed Dutch shepherd/pit bull dog mix. I had one of these years ago with the hard shell and couldn’t be happier with the new foam shell.
The new foam shell is much quieter and while our dog might put holes in it with his teeth, he doesn’t seem to ever pull pieces off.
For engagement level, he found it VERY interesting at first and was scared to grab it, but once he got over that he started holding it in his mouth even when it shakes and just tries to keep it.
Isn’t the best for fetch or anything as he has trouble letting it go when it is actively moving, but it makes him happy while he has it. We just make sure to monitor him while it is out.
The ability to change the outer shell and just buy a replacement for the shell instead of a whole new toy is a lovely feature that makes me very happy to continue buying from this company.
