GForce software 에서 신제품으로 Halogen FM 신디사이저를 발표하였습니다.

 

GForce software 의 최근 몇 가지 발매작은 Oberheim과의 공식 파트너십을 중심으로 진행되었습니다. 

전설적인 신디사이저 회사인 Oberheim의 가장 상징적인 악기들을 충실하게 에뮬레이션하여 제공했습니다. 

그러나 최신 악기는 연구와 설계로 새롭게 제작되었으며, 이번 신제품은 FM 신디사이저에 대한 새로운 해석을 제시합니다. 

FM synthesis 특유의 사운드 캐릭터와 깊이 그리고 예측 불가능성은 유지하면서도 사용상의 복잡성은 줄였다고 합니다.

 

FM synthesis 는 표현력이 뛰어나다는 찬사를 받지만, 악명 높은 복잡성 때문에 많은 사람들이 기피합니다. 

Halogen FM은 이러한 상황을 바꾸고자 재미있고 빠르며 창의적인 결과물을 만들어낼 것을 약속합니다. 

이 새로운 가상 악기는 Halogen Spark Core 라고 불리는 생성형 사운드 소스를 기반으로 제작되었습니다. 

이 사운드는 버튼 하나만 누르면 독특한 음악적 패치를 생성할 수 있습니다. 

악기의 Spark 버튼을 클릭하는 것만큼 간단한 새로운 사운드를 만들 수 있으며, 직관적인 매크로 컨트롤(Timbre, Envelope Generators, Modulation, FX)을 통해 복잡한 프로그래밍 없이도 원하는 사운드로 컨트롤이 가능합니다.

GForce는 Halogen FM의 컨트롤이 "복잡한 프로그래밍이 아닌 본능에 반응하도록" 설계되었으며, 연주성과 깊이 사이의 이상적인 균형을 이룬다고 말합니다. 

부드러운 패드부터 날카로운 플럭 사운드, 그리고 변화하는 사운드 질감까지 다양한 사운드를 빠르게 만들어낼 수 있으며, 매크로 컨트롤을 통해 미묘한 변화부터 대담한 변형까지 모든 것을 구현할 수 있습니다. 

이처럼 단순하지만, 각 악기의 파라미터에 대한 완전하고 심층적인 접근을 통해 더욱 심도 있는 컨트롤을 원하는 사람들을 위한 다양한 기능들이 제공됩니다.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
