Unique, sustainably sourced Australian Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon) from the Otway Ranges in Victoria. This set has been selected from the same log, ensuring consistency in colour and timber properties. The timber is processed to ensure the grain is as straight as possible to minimise long-grain runout and increase stability, strength and acoustic qualities.

Back Set

Minimum dimensions: 540mm x 220mm x 4.5mm (LxWxT) see outlines on photos for a guide

Finish: Bandsaw

Side Set

Minimum dimensions: 850mm x 125mm x 3.5mm (LxWxT) see outlines on photos for a guide

Finish:  Bandsaw

Density guide (Light, Medium, Dense): Medium

 

This timber has been air dried indoors then finished in a solar kiln to reach 6% EMC. Product is shipped at 8-9% EMC. 

 

Blemishes/Defects: sap can be used if desired.  Outlined areas guaranteed, see photos. Actual thickness on photos.
