That means no more slipping when marking or scribing wood, metal, paper and more. Able to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use, the rule markings are etched and laser engraved.

Able to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use, the rule markings are etched and laser engraved. And because the marks are accurate to 0.004", pinpoint exactness is assured. Additionally, it is square to a tolerance of 0.002". However, if by some chance it goes out of alignment, it can be effortlessly reset.
In addition to scribing notches spaced every 1/16", it also features a balancing tab that allows you to stabilize the square and scribe your workpiece. This easy-to-use tab engages from either side and retracts when not needed.
