Sandfall Interactive, Kepler Interactive and Laced Records are banding together to bring Lorien Testard’s breakout soundtrack for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to vinyl and CD. 

This 8CD set includes the complete 154-track digital soundtrack and 25 bonus tracks, including fan favourite “The Manor - Our Painted Family”. This release features many of the in-game music mixes, and all music has been specially mastered for the CD format.

The music in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is pivotal in driving the emotive story that enraptured players have fallen in love with. Most tracks were written and recorded at Lorien Testard’s home studio, with a selection also performed and recorded by the prestigious Curieux Orchestre at Midilive Studios, Paris. 

Lorien’s debut score is a musical painting that supports the game’s Belle Époque setting. Among many others, the leitmotifs in “Alicia” and “Lumière” are woven into the fabric of the game experience, capturing the grief and hope of the characters and the beauty of Lumière. 

Central to the appeal and effectiveness of the music are the vocal melodies of Alice Duport-Percier—the lead voice and emotional heart of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s many vocal tracks. Joining Duport-Percier are vocalists Victor Borba (singer on Devil May Cry 5’s “Bury the Light”) and mezzo-soprano Axelle Verner. Verso voice actor Ben Starr also sings on the moving “Until Next Life”. 

Following the initial release of the vinyl and CD soundtracks, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 made video game music history as it reached record-breaking spots for an original video game soundtrack in the US, UK, France and German album charts, securing six No.1 spots in the UK Albums Chart (Official Albums Chart) and six top-five placements in the US Albums Chart (Billboard), while debuting at No.2 in the French (SNEP) and German (Offizielle Deutsche Charts) charts. 

This is in addition to the digital soundtrack spending more than 20 weeks at No.1 on Billboard’s Classical Album and Classical Crossover Album charts, a testament to the power of Lorien Testard’s musical storytelling.
