The U1V-4 helps to save valuable space by accepting the mounting of the 8 outlets and 15A power strip PD-815SC-PBSH (sold separately) on the rear of the shelf (requires 2 1/4" deep by 18 3/4" wide open space behind the shelf). It also allows the attachment of optional clamping bars to secure components.
