Installation Guide

  1. Disconnect the fuel line and remove the lower unit from the outboard according to your service manual. Ensure the engine is off and cool before beginning.
  2. Remove the old water pump assembly by loosening the bolts securing the pump housing. Carefully extract the impeller, plate, and gaskets.
  3. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly to remove old gasket material, debris, and corrosion. Use a plastic scraper to avoid scratching metal surfaces.
  4. Install the new impeller (6E5-44352-01) into the housing with blades oriented correctly (consult your service manual for rotation direction). Apply a light coat of marine grease to ease installation.
  5. Position the insert cup (6E5-44322) and plate (6G5-44323-00) in the correct orientation. Ensure the key (90280-04M05) is seated properly in its slot.
  6. Install new O-rings (93210-37M67 and 93210-86M38) into their respective grooves. Lubricate lightly with marine grease to prevent pinching during assembly.
  7. Mount the water pump housing (6E5-44311-00) with the new gasket (6E5-44315-A0). Secure using the provided bolts (97080-08045) and pins (93606-12019), torquing to manufacturer specifications.
  8. Replace the thermostats (6E5-12411-30) in both thermostat housings, using new gaskets (688-12414-A1) on each side. Ensure proper seating to prevent coolant leaks.
  9. Install new drain gaskets (90430-08020) on all four drain plugs before reinstalling them. Tighten plugs securely but do not over-torque.
  10. Replace the fuel filter (6F5-24563-00) in the fuel system, ensuring correct flow direction (arrow marking on filter body). Check fuel line connections for secure fit.
  11. Install the cotter pin (91490-40030) in the appropriate location per your service manual. Attach the gear oil pump (24OP149) according to manufacturer instructions.
  12. Reassemble the lower unit to the outboard, reconnect fuel lines, and test the cooling system by running the engine in water. Check for leaks and proper water flow from the tell-tale indicator.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Q: How do I confirm this service kit fits my specific Yamaha engine?
A: Verify your engine's horsepower, stroke type (2-Stroke), and year against our compatibility table. Cross-reference your existing OEM part number (6G5-W006A-00) with your engine's service manual or exploded parts diagram to ensure a match.

Q: How often should I replace the water pump impeller and perform this service?
A: Yamaha recommends inspecting the water pump annually and replacing the impeller every 2–3 years or 200–300 hours of operation, whichever comes first. If you operate in sandy, silty water or notice overheating, inspect and replace more frequently.

Q: What are the signs that my water pump or thermostats need replacement?
A: Common symptoms include engine overheating, weak or no water flow from the tell-tale indicator, steam from the engine, or an alarm sounding. Damaged impeller vanes, stuck thermostats, or worn gaskets are typical causes.

Q: Can I use this kit in saltwater environments?
A: Yes, all components are suitable for saltwater use. However, flush your cooling system with fresh water after each saltwater outing and inspect components regularly to maximize service life and prevent corrosion.

Q: Do I need any special tools to install this service kit?
A: Basic hand tools (socket set, screwdrivers, torque wrench) and a lower unit removal tool are typically required. Consult your Yamaha service manual for torque specifications and detailed disassembly/reassembly procedures.

Q: What is the difference between this aftermarket kit and the OEM version?
A: This listing is an aftermarket replacement part (not an OEM component). We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.

Q: How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
A: We offer fast global shipping—typically 5–15 days worldwide—and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.

Q: What is your warranty and return policy?
A: This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window (unused & in original condition); please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.

Great Replacement Cabin Air Filters for my 2008 Honda Civic
Size: 2Pcs, Size: 2Pcs
Item Reviewed: CF10134 Cabin Air Filter with Activated Carbon Replacement for CP134, Fit for Honda Accord/Civic/Odyssey/CR-V and Acura MDX/TSX/TLX/RDX/Ridgeline (2 pack) ℹ️ Summary I picked these up because I needed some replacement cabin air filters for my 2008 Honda Civic. These seem like decent quality and they were a perfect fit in my car. For $15 at time of order for two air filters it was a solid deal that I can glad recommend to others. I hate writing short reviews, but there’s not much else to say about these. Here is how I rate items: 5 ⭐️ = Completely exceeds expectations. 4 ⭐️ = Works well with minor concerns. 3 ⭐️ = Does the job, nothing special. 2 ⭐️ = Some things work, but lots of issues. 1 ⭐️ = Didn’t work well, not worth it.

Good fit for Acura MDX
Size: 8.8" x 9.3" x 1.1"
This is an air cabin filter that will fit many cars, and in my case a 2019 MDX. Since this kind of filter is not doing anything critical like keeping dirt out of an engine, I shop around for non-OEM filters for something that strikes a balance between price versus performance. This filter just filters out dust in a car cabin, and when we’re not in our cars, we don’t have the benefit of an air filter when we are walking around outdoors. At a fraction of the price of an Acura filter, this filter seems to strike that balance. The filter media looks sturdy and is embedded with charcoal to help absorb odors. Installation is very straightforward in my MDX, and similar in most cars. There is a compartment door inside the glovebox that first must be removed before changing the filter. Pay attention to the direction flow arrow that shows which way the filter should be installed. Overall I am satisfied with this filter. It is inexpensive, fits perfectly, and seems to do the job just fine. It is definitely worth trying if you are trying to save money.

Size: 2Pcs
Fits great in my '08 Accord LX and my '19 Accord Sport 2.0t. They filter air well and are easy to install like any cabin air filter in a Honda. I am pleased. Good value for the price.

Fit my 2014 Odyssey TE
Size: 8.8" x 9.3" x 1.1"
Comes with printed instructions for those who haven't changed it before. Here is the specific use case from my van. On my 2014 TE its easy to access behind the glove box, open to usual full open then just push the left and right sides in to allow the glove box to come fully out. It may pop off of the mounts, don't panic it snaps right back on. Then look for the little rectangular panel with two small levers on either side. on the black plastic under the dash that you can now see and access. Press the levers and pull towards you, doing a bit of a wiggle to get it out. Its tight, but it will come out with having to break it. Don't gorilla hands it, it will break. There is a directional arrow on the filter, which you have to remove from the wrapper before installing. Yes, someone *will* forget that. Reassembly the reverse of removal. Check that video sharing site online if you need visual instructions.
