In the fall of 2022, several music managers teamed up with Noise For Now to release good music to ensure safe abortion access to all as a digital-only release available for 24 hours on Bandcamp. That compilation raised over $230K. Noise For Now has since started its own record label, with its first release being a vinyl-only release for RSD Black Friday 2023, with selections from that digital release.
Volume 2 is now here, with unreleased tracks/versions/covers from Faye Webster, Courtney Barnett, Julia Jacklin, The War on Drugs, MC50, Claud, Big Freedia, SOFIA ISELLA, Becca Mancari, A.J. Haynes (of Seratones), and with a track from the original compilation, David Byrne and Devo.
Announced on March 26th 2024, to align with the Supreme Court arguments on mifepristone, a safe and effective abortion pill that was approved two decades ago.
