Piper is treated with suspicion by those who know him, for his humour is black and often deadly. His playful personality conceals an ambition for power that led him rapidly up the ranks of an extremist elven cult in his youth. Though the cult was disbanded in disgrace, he secretly holds their ideals close to his heart. Ultimately Piper wishes to see the elves give up their cities and technology, and instead embrace the power and magic that can be found throughout nature.
Piper uses his trickster magic, weaving illusion and bewildering his foes to his great advantage. It is said that he was taught these arts by Grul herself… the only elf that Grul has ever welcomed to her side.
