The AEM 21-764C Performance Cold Air Intake System produces horsepower and torque gains by replacing your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. This air intake system was designed, tuned and dyno-tested to fit specific Volkswagen Jetta, Jetta GLI, and Passat models. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. The air filter is located in the original air box location and is protected by a heat shield which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The air intake tube is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder coated finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine's factory emissions control devices including the PCV hose. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). The air intake system is easy to install with commonly available tools and it is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Only worked for 1 month.

This product was delivered on April 20th and worked great. It made a nice clean cut in the metal with no sharp edges and the top of the can lifted up nicely. Yesterday, May 24th, it stopped cutting and unfortunately, the return window closed on May 20th.

Opens the can weird, but functional

Ehhh it’s easy to use and gets it open, my only issue is that it doesn’t open a can like a regular can opener where it is cut on top of the can and you can push it in the can to drain if needed. Rather it cuts the outside of the can as it spins around, so it doesn’t fit inside the can. Not very handy when you’re opening a can of tuna and want to drain the tuna juice, so I had to keep my manual one, that I was trying to get rid of by buying this electric one 🙃

Works Great!

I've only used it a few times since it arrived and it works great. Much better than the hand cranking can opener I've been using. It's a little loud, but that's not enough of a deterrent for me to stop using it. The noise is a temporary annoyance that I'll gladly put up with to have a can opener that actually completely opens a can.
