Cost ranges from $20-$50+ per person, depending on the size of the group, materials used, and how many hours we spend together. We will communicate cost and payment method with you, prior to collecting payment. 

By purchasing/participating in events at Pike Lake Forge, you understand that you are participating in an inherently dangerous craft, and will act in a responsible manner. 

Visitors to our studio are expected to treat the space, tools, and people around them with respect.  Safety precautions are to be taken by coming prepared with proper protection (earplugs, glasses, closed-toed footwear, preferably leather and steel toed) and long pants and clothing of a natural fibre. By participating in activities at Pike Lake Forge, you understand that there are inherent risks including, but not limited to:

(1) the use of and exposure to hot coals and high temperature iron and
steel

(2) handling hot metals and flux

(3) exposure to sharp objects

(4) exposure to power tools / equipment

(5) exposure to falling objects

And understand that your negligence or failure to act within your abilities may contribute to or result in an injury.

Pike Lake Forge (PLF) hereby specifically disclaims any and all responsibility or liability for, and you hereby irrevocably release PLF from, any and all claims, whether known or unknown, which I may have relating to: (i) any and all damages to the student or any personal property of the student, including without limitation, indirect and consequential damages or injuries as a direct or indirect result of the inherent risks of blacksmithing; (ii) any liability relating to instruction, construction, design, use of any PLF equipment or facilities, manufacture of any product, or any other activity undertaken in conjunction with demonstrations, workshops or events offered by PLF or as a result of the use or application of information given or contained in any class, workshop or seminar offered by PLF or contained in any writing given to me by PLF or (iii) any actions taken by me while on the PLF premises with respect to construction, design, use of equipment or facilities or manufacture of any product.


You hereby represent and warrant that you understand that by paying this fee to participate, you may be waiving certain legal rights. You understand that you will be responsible for all actions taken at the PLF facilities, including without limitation, use of equipment and facilities. You understand that you are solely responsible for any and all damages, whether direct or consequential, for the use and application of information given at any event, workshop or demonstration or contained in any writing distributed by PLF.

If attending as a group, you are expected to explain the risk to all involved prior to participating, and to listen to the safety discussion at the start of the event.
