Select Surfaces Wilmington Molding Kit is designed to complement Select Surfaces™ Hybrid-Resilient Flooring: Wilmington (990285959 - 990285958). Each kit contains four moldings, each 44" in length. These moldings are easy to install and will add the finishing touch to your new floor!  

T-Molding  

The main function of a T-molding for Hybrid-Resilient Flooring is to provide a seamless transition between two types of flooring or floor surfaces of the same height, while also protecting the edges of the Hybrid-Resilient Flooring. It helps to bridge the gap between the two floors, providing a smooth and safe transition that reduces the risk of tripping or stumbling.  

Reducer Molding  

The main function of a reducer molding for Hybrid-Resilient Flooring is to ensure the transition from the Hybrid-Resilient Flooring to a lower surface. They reduce the height difference between the two floors or floor surfaces, providing a safety for foot traffic. This can be especially important in areas where the height difference is significant or where the transition is frequently crossed, as it helps to prevent tripping hazards and ensures a more comfortable and seamless experience for those walking across the transition. Common examples are the transition between Hybrid-Resilient Flooring and vinyl flooring.  

End Cap Molding  

End caps ensure that the transition from the Hybrid-Resilient Flooring to a higher surface is both visually appealing and safe for foot traffic. This is particularly important in areas of the home where there is a significant height difference between the flooring surfaces, as it helps to reduce the risk of tripping and other accidents that can occur because of uneven flooring surfaces.
