It packs flat. Pancake flat. Without drama. The brim has wire inside, so you can shape it the way you like. A little down for more shade. A little up when you want to see who just walked by in that questionable cover-up. It keeps its shape, but it is not stiff or bossy about it.

The linen gives it that softer, prettier feeling I was after. It feels feminine without being fussy. It looks polished without trying too hard. And yes, it has a  detachable chinstrap.

I once designed hats for Ralph Lauren. I love hats. I own too many hats. I have strong feelings about hats. And somehow, I still didn’t have a favorite beach and travel hat.

The pretty straw ones don’t pack. The practical sun hats make me look like I’m leading a nature walk. And a baseball cap leaves half your face and neck exposed, which is rude to your future self. So I designed the hat I wanted. Feminine. Packable. Protective. Not precious.

It folds flat, has a shapeable wire brim, gives real sun coverage, and yes — it has a removable chinstrap for windy beaches, boats, and other glamorous weather events. A beach hat that looks pretty and behaves itself.
