Aiming for elegance, restraint and the ability to age, acid is bright and there’s generosity of flavour. Typically it shows white flowers, citrus, and nectarine notes. The 2021 vintage was one of the best on record. Ripe and healthy fruit resulted in a beautifully balanced M3, with great flavours, and fresh acidity right through to the long finish.

2020 Valhalla exhibits toasty complexity over a range of citrus notes from lime characters to mandarin. The palate is rich and textural with a fresh succulent finish that belies its concentration. 2020 was a drought year which often presents challenges in creating wines that are fresh and zesty. The 2020 Valhalla is classical in its style being linear, structured and age worthy typical of some of the great wines of the world.

This wine features a lively, aromatic nose with predominant notes of white fruit and spices, underpinned by a subtle touch of oak and vanilla. Mineral on the palate with a good balance between acidity and roundness and a lovely length. Made with 100% Chardonnay grapes. Enjoy now or cellar for up to five years from vintage date.

Food Pairing: Enjoy with all kinds of fish, seafood and white meats. This wine also pairs well with full-flavoured cheeses.
