They are suspended from the ceiling with narrow metallic cables. A colourful red iron ring around them allows for the height of the lamp to be adjusted. The weight of the ring also serves as a counterweight so the cables remain in place when adjusted. Another functional and aesthetic detail is the crinkling of the Japanese paper. It works to counter humidity so the shades remain intact even in high temperatures. The lamp casts ambient light that can be dimmed if a dimmable light source is used.
The Floatation Suspension Lamp is available in two sizes. The smaller one has a diameter of 75cm while the larger one has a diameter of 100cm. They both have a height of 45cm and a suspension height of 200cm. The lamp comes in neutral colours. It works with an E27 socket and the bulbs have to be purchased separately.
