Caffélatex Tubeless Strip is a very light, puncture-proof and transparent tubeless rim strip that makes tubeless conversions quick and easy. Strip allows tubeless conversion of most standard bicycle wheels, using Tubeless or Tubeless-Ready tyres and Caffélatex or Végétalex sealant.

  • The easiest way to perform a tubeless conversion

  • Very light tubeless rim strip

  • Damage-resistant

  • Long lasting, it can be moved from one wheel to another

  • Extended range of widths

Characteristics:

Available sizes

Caffélatex Tubeless Strip is available in the following widths:

  • S (25 mm): for rims with internal width between 16 and 20 mm;

  • M (30 mm): for rims with internal width between 20 and 25 mm;

  • L (35 mm): for rims with internal width between 25 and 30 mm;

  • Plus S (40 mm): for rims with internal width between 30 and 35 mm;

  • Plus M (45 mm): for rims with internal width between 35 and 40 mm;

  • Plus L (50 mm): for rims with internal width between 40 and 45 mm;

  • Fat S (70 mm): for rims with external width between 60 and 65 mm;

  • Fat M (85 mm): for rims with external width between 75 and 80 mm;

  • Fat L (105 mm): for rims with external width between 95 and 100 mm;

Each width (S, M, L) is available in two length options, to fit different wheel diameters (26”/27,5” or 29”). Additionally, there are three versions available: Standard, Fat, and Plus. In total, there are fifteen options to choose from.

Strip is sold as kits containing two rim strips and two Caffélatex Tubeless Valves Black 40 mm (for rims up to 37 mm of height), 2 wheels per kit.

Max pressure for Strip is 7 bar (100 psi), making it suitable also for wider road tyres (starting at 28mm of width).

Note for road and gravel riders looking for the correct Strip for their wheels

  • wheels identified as 29" (for mtb), 28" (for road) and 700c have the same rim diameter, 622 mm in ISO/ETRTO standard. Therefore, the right Strip for 700c wheels is 29".

  • wheels identified as 27,5" (for mtb) and 650b have the same rim diameter, 584 mm in ISO/ETRTO standard. Therefore, the right Strip for 650b wheels is 26/27,5".

Tubeless conversion, made easy

Caffélatex Strip is the ultimate tubeless solution for very difficult rims (for example, aluminum rims with mat surface finishing, rims with very deep channel, pin-joined rims where the junction is not welded etc.). This because Strip isn’t adhesive: it’s made in one piece and relies on its elasticity to sit tight on the rim.

Please note: sorry, Strip won't work on asymetric rims with off-center valve hole.

To convert a rim to tubeless, simply remove the existing rim-strip, choose the appropriate Strip size and follow the following easy steps:

  1. (OPTIONAL STEP) Use a roll of electrician tape and seal the spoke holes of the rim. This just in order to create an additional protection to prevent sealant from getting inside the rim inner chamber, in the unlikely case the Strip moves and let some liquid go through.

  2. Insert the provided Caffélatex Tubeless Valve in the hole of Strip, so that the rubber base is in contact with Strip.

  3. Secure Strip to the rim, tightening the nut on the valve stem. It’s important to push the valve base against the rim while doing so, to achieve a proper air-tightness.

  4. Keeping the wheel with the valve at 12 o’ clock, finish mounting Strip onto the rim.

    With a screwdriver or a similar tool, center Strip inside the rim channel.

  5. Add tubeless tyre, Caffélatex or Végétalex sealant, inflate, ride.

Additional details in the tech video down below.

Lightweight

Being thin (0,8 mm) and strong, Strip only weighs 30 g (for S 26″/27,5″), making it weight-wise competitive with adhesive tubeless tapes (ranging between 9 and 20 g per wheel) and simply superior to old butyl tubeless rim strips (with limited strength and adding over 65 g per wheel). Weights(*) for a single Strip are:

  • Strip S 26″/27,5″: 30 g

  • Strip S 29″: 33 g

  • Strip M 26″/27,5″: 36 g

  • Strip M 29″: 39 g

  • Strip L 26″/27,5″: 48 g

  • Strip L 29″: 53 g

  • Strip Plus S 26″/27,5″: 55 g

  • Strip Plus S 29″: 58 g

  • Strip Plus M 26″/27,5″: 68 g

  • Strip Plus M 29″: 72 g

  • Strip Plus L 26″/27,5″: 91 g

  • Strip Plus L 29″: 95 g

(*) tolerance +/- 10% on nominal weight

Highly resistant to damage and puncture

The special polymer employed in its construction makes Strip highly resistant to damage and puncture. It’s also very stable from a chemical standpoint and cannot be damaged by Caffélatex or other non-chemically-aggressive tyre sealants.

WARNING: using sealants containing aggressive chemicals or ammonia, or cleaning the rim with aggressive chemical products can damage Caffélatex Tubeless Strip and may represent dangers to the user. We recommend using only Caffélatex or Végétalex sealants, or Espresso / Espresso Doppio inflate & repair cartridges with Caffélatex Tubeless Strip.

Long lasting

Something you can do with Strip that you simply can’t with adhesive tubeless tapes: moving Strip from one rim to another.
As the Strip material is very durable, its lifespan can exceed the one of the rim it’s mounted on, and can it be removed and mounted on another rim. Strip can also be removed and mounted on the same rim if a spoke needs to be replaced.

Give me a little bit’a that Nicolai Roman Attano ANY DAY. 🥵
⭐️ 5 🌶 3 🚂 Peaky Blinders Vibes 🚂 Enemies to Lovers 🚂 Sexy + Sassy Banter 🚂 Marriage for Business 🚂 Unique Magic System 🚂 Dual POV I absolutely LOVED this book. The mafia/peaky blinders vibes — the lil’ steam punk feel mixed with magic and mayhem… add in the witty banter from Milla and Nico? ALEXIS, YOU DONE JUST ROCKED MY WORLD, FRIEND. What I Enjoyed: Nicolai. Roman. Attano.: Literally. This is all I’ve got to say to you, just read the book. The Banter: When I tell you the banter between Milla and Nico is iconic — I mean it. Scroll down for some of my favorites, but my my my, my core was HEATING and I was wriggling in my seat on the airplane, my friends. OOOOOMPH. Steampunk/ Peaky Blinders Vibes: I read this whole book with a feeling of mist on the ground, the flickering street lights, sound of a train horn, flapping of coat tails, and smell of cigarillo smoke. It was dark, broody, beautiful, and chilling. Add in a little wetness from morning dew and the scene has been set. Plot Twists & Turns: The amount of times my eyes bugged out of my head with “OMG NO WAY”, “WHAAAT”, and “BOOIIIIIII–” should almost be illegal. I didn’t see the twist at the end coming, I loved it! Brilliant! I feel like House of Bane and Blood didn’t even allow me the opportunity to guess what would happen next, because I just had no idea where Alexis would take it. Attano Family: I’m a sucker for a big family with many cousins, personalities, and a spicy Nonna. Throw in a kitchen scene or two and you’ve got me hooked. I loved the dynamic between the Attano family and how fast they came to bat for Milla. I throughly enjoyed getting to know the people behind Nicolai, and how they all support him and each other. What I Didn’t Like: The Minimal Insight on the Marchese Family: We aren’t really given much insight into the Marchese Family and Milla’s brothers. I understand this gives an ominous feel to the brothers — but I really wish we could have explored Giles and Milla’s relationship just a little bit more. I wish I understood more about the Twins than what was given. Although, I do understand the distance and the coldness, I personally just wanted a little more. Over All Thoughts The way I straight flew through this book — UGH. Adding Nico to my list of book boyfriends, and Alexis to my list of instant buy Authors. The way House of Bane and Blood is written is beautiful, it does not feel immature or overwhelming, there’s enough to keep you riveted and more and more unfolds with every chapter. Milla and Nico are a force to be reckoned with separately, but together? Indestructible! I cannot WAIT to see what happens in City of Mirth and Malice.

A Promising Start with a Complex Magic System
“House of Bane and Blood” delivers an engaging enemies-to-lovers romance wrapped in an arranged marriage trope, which was one of the strongest aspects of the book. The dynamic between Nico and Camilla was compelling, making their evolving relationship one of the highlights of the story. The plot itself was interesting and had a lot of potential. However, the complexity of the magic system was a drawback. The abundance of difficult names and terms made it challenging to fully grasp the world-building, leaving some aspects feeling more confusing than immersive. At times, it was hard to keep track of what was happening and who was who. Despite this, the book holds promise as the first installment of the series. With an intriguing setup and strong character chemistry, I’m excited to see where Book 2 takes the story. Hopefully, it will continue to build on its strengths while offering more clarity on its magical elements.

Outstanding Indie Fantasy! You NEED to read this!
I have started and deleted my intro to my review multiple times at this point. My mind is sufficiently BLOWN. This book has landed itself into my top favorite romantasies right alongside ACOTAR and FBAA. ITS SO DANG GOOD. I literally woke up, popped it open on my kindle app (Thanks author and R&R Book Tours for the arc!) and got to reading and just didn’t stop. I couldn’t stop. From the first dang page, Menard dragged my butt in and tied me down. I. Was. HOOKED. Writing Style: I absolutely love the writer’s style! Told from mainly Milla’s POV, with the occasional glance into Nico’s POV when its important. Her world building is rich and immersive, sticking firmly into the steampunk/gas lamp fantasy atmosphere. Her magic system—while feeling familiar—still feels unique and blends beautifully with the world she’s created. Characters: I can’t begin to describe how much I love the characters Menard has created for this story. Milla is a firestorm. She’s passionate, fiesty, loyal, and self confident. She doesn’t back down, no matter the odds. For me, personally, she’s ranking right up there with Feyre (ACOTAR), Poppy (FBAA), and Sera (FBAA prequel) as one of my favorite female leads. Despite her fierceness, she’s not invincible and she’s still vulnerable—which unveils itself more as the story goes on. Nico, mmmmmmmm, Nico. He’s cocky, and strong. His heart is for his blood and family. There’s nothing he won’t do for those he cares for. He’s incredibly insightful which leads to a lot of me squeeing and highlighting his quotes. Pairing him up with Milla is a riot I will watch again and again. The side characters are all phenomenal, ranging wide in personalities and giving the world a richer vibrancy. They compliment both main characters, bringing out the best and worst in them, helping to bring secrets to light and keep the plot going. Not a single character felt out of place, or ever out of character. Relationship: Y’all know I love a good slow burn and this burns so good. The push and pull of their hate/love relationship is a thrill to witness. Watching them fall for each other is a joy and the spice (when we get there) is HAWT. Plot: This story had me hooked, and that’s largely in thanks to how well planned out the story’s plot is. Menard did an excellent job, masterfully balancing her foreshadowing and reveals. While I halfway guessed the big reveal, i definitely did not expect the big reveal. (Read the book, then you’ll understand lmao). The pacing is fantastic. Nothing about the story felt rushed, not the relationship, not the reveals, not the over arching plot line. Just absolutely phenomenal. Enjoyment: 100/10 will read again. I need a physical copy in my life. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

One of the best reading experiences I’ve ever had
Format: Audiobook
This was truly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! In every possible way. - the setting. I loved the steampunk/gaslamp setting with trains, overcast weather, and mafia vibes - the magic. I still don’t entirely understand the magic system and descendants as much and it took awhile for me to get my footing in that department- and I am intrigued beyond measure, though it in no way lessened my enjoyment of the story. I just really wish I had a better grasp of it. - the plot itself. Beautiful. The tropes were troping in the absolute best way. Every single thing that happened I was like YES MORE!!! - the writing. I found myself grinning ear to ear uncontrollably during my entire read through and full on choking on my gasps, again, like the entire read through. And I read this too at times when I was in an awful mood so the way this book was an INSTANT pick me up really speaks to how well this was written. I was having the absolute best time, non stop. - the characters. The best part oh my gosh. Camilla is SUCH a badass. Her and Nico are supposed to be low 20s and I gotta tell you they read more like 30s from how capable and mature they are (not that that age bracket is incapable or immature, just comparing them to other characters written in that age range). She is the type of cool as heck character that everyone would be cos-playing as and if it was a kid movie, every single girl would dress as her for Halloween. She’s that awesome. Nico is top freaking tier. I gotta say his hairstyle is my undoing and with the addition of the metal arm- before I even started reading the book I was in love with him. And he was EVEN BETTER than my lofty expectations. This man. Perfect in every single way. Every. Single. Way. If I start now I won’t stop so I’m just gonna leave it at that. Camilla and Nico are power couple of the century though and the way they interacted was the most toe-curling/squealing/kicking your feet banter I’ve read in a while. PLUS the way they fell for each other was a gem. I was falling in love with their relationship right along with them. - a shout out to the side characters too. Aramis, Gideon, Aunt Fran, Esme, Luther, Adler [honestly just insert all the supporting cast they were freaking phenomenal] brought so much life and personality to the story and helped round out Nico and Camilla. I really really really would absolutely adore if Adler got some more spotlight time in the future because he and Aramis are up there with “let’s give these side characters their own spinoffs”. Also, the villains were great too. I love a great villain in a story and sometimes I don’t think they get highlighted as much in books as in movies or TV that I hear of. If it wasn’t obvious already- this was even greater than a 5 star read. This was perfection- in quality and in vibes- and it was one of the most enjoyable reading experiences I have ever had and I’m not throwing that around lightly. I have scenes from this book playing in my mind unbidden on repeat and I know this world has so much more to be explored. I will read anything Alexis L Menard puts out in the future

Great mix of maffia and magic
Format: Kindle
This one felt really unique to me, with a great and successful blend of Twenties-feeling maffia and inventive magic. I liked both the main characters a lot, even though I found myself almost shouting at the MFC sometimes. She really should learn not to trust everyone just because they're family! All in all a good read, with lots of romance, yearning and some spice as well.
