Victorian 14K Gold Crescent Moon and Star Pendant with 9K Gold Chain

This 14k gold Victorian crescent moon pendant is beautifully studded with seed pearls and has a lovely star that balances in the center of the moon. The pearls graduate in size, with the biggest pearls toward the center and smaller pearls filling in the space of the crescent as it narrows at the tips. The pearls are bead set, and the outer row of pearls is each housed in its own squared setting. The star contains one larger pearl surrounded by five tiny pearls in each of its points. Once a pin, the piece was converted into a pendant necklace by removing the pin stem and adding a 9k gold chain, evidence of which can be seen in the residual gold on the back of the moon.
