Folds in 3 Steps — No Tools Required
The PL400EF assembles and folds in 3 simple steps. Folded, it stores under most standard beds, in a closet, or in the trunk of a car. Its rear casters and top handles allow one caregiver to roll it from room to room or load it into a vehicle without lifting the full 83 lbs.
Dual Controls — Pendant + Control Box Backup
Every lift and lower function is accessible from both the hand pendant and the control box mounted directly on the unit. If the pendant is damaged or goes missing, the caregiver can complete the transfer using the control box — a reliability feature not always found at this price point.
6-Point Spreader Bar — Works With Most Slings
The standard 6-point cradle is compatible with most 2-point, 4-point, and 6-point slings on the market. The wider spread of attachment points prevents the "pinching" effect common with 2-point bars — keeping the sling straps more comfortable for the patient during transfers.
LCD Display with Safety Alarms
The control panel displays battery level and active warnings. Audible alarms trigger for weight overload, low battery, and critically low battery — giving the caregiver advance warning before the battery fails mid-transfer. Manual lowering release provides a backup if power is lost completely.
Foot Pedal Base Opening
The base legs open and close via a foot pedal — hands-free operation that lets the caregiver widen or narrow the base without bending down. Legs open to 37.7" internal width to accommodate larger wheelchairs and close to 26" external width to pass through standard doorways.
Low 4.5" Base Height
