Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the battery and drain the gear lube from the lower unit.
2. Remove the mounting bolts securing the lower unit to the engine casing.

4. Unscrew the bolts on the water pump housing and lift the housing off.
5. Remove the old impeller, gaskets, wear plate, and insert cup. Note their orientation.

7. Install the new gasket, wear plate, and insert cup into the housing.
8. Slide the new impeller key onto the drive shaft and install the new impeller, turning the shaft clockwise to bed the vanes.
9. Place the new O-ring in the housing groove and reinstall the housing, tightening bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
10. Reattach the lower unit to the engine, ensuring the drive shaft and water tube align correctly.
11. Secure the lower unit with its mounting bolts and refill the gear case with fresh lube.
12. Reconnect the battery and test the engine using a water source to confirm proper water circulation from the tell-tale.
