Introduced in the 1960s, the Spotmatic is one of Pentax’s most respected fully mechanical SLRs. The shutter operates independently of batteries, requiring power only for the meter.
This camera uses standard 35mm (135) film, producing 24 × 36 mm negatives. It is compatible with M42 screw-mount lenses, giving access to a wide range of classic optics from Pentax, Takumar, and other manufacturers.
