Crafted from high-grade Taiwanese keichiku bamboo, this shinai features a full set of pure white gin-kawa on the tip, middle, and handle. It is practical, durable, and aesthetically refined.

Weight and Balance:
The bamboo is carefully selected to create a dobari-sakihoso type (thicker around the handle and thinner toward the tip), shifting the center of gravity toward the tsuka (handle). The monouchi (striking section) is slimmer than other shinai, making it ideal for advanced practice.

What is Gin-kawa?
Gin-kawa refers to the outer skin layer of animal hide. It features dense fiber structures and is known as “living leather” or “breathable leather.”

What is Toko-gawa (lower-grade leather)?
This layer has a mesh-like structure closer to the subcutaneous tissue, with coarser and uneven fiber distribution. As a result, the thickness is inconsistent and generally considered less durable.

床革は網目状の組織で皮下組織に近く、繊維の分布が粗く不均一で、厚さにもムラがあるため、吟皮に比べて耐久性が劣ります。
