Vignobles Silvestrini Lussac-Saint-Émilion L'Égerie du Château Chereau is made from 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on limestone and clay-based soils, typical of Saint-Émilion. Only the best grapes from their vineyards in Lussac are reserved for this special cuvée. The vineyards are machine harvested. Fermentation for a 10 to 15 day period in both cement vats and thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation happens naturally in tank. Periodic pump overs. A pneumatic pressing. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

Translating to “the muse of Château Chereau”, Vignobles Silvestrini L'Egerie du Château Chereau is their signature wine. A truly great vintage, 2016 in Bordeaux was an exceptional year, particularly for areas such as Lussac-Saint-Émilion. A French Merlot wine of incredible structure, rich and complex with concentrated black fruits, vanilla, spice and a floral edge.
