From their Great Characters Collection, Montblanc brings you this Limited Edition 1928 Rollerball Pen in honor of Andy Warhol who was an American artist and director. It is a limited edition piece with Andy's signature on the cap ring and engravings of words that are from his works. The impetus for the design of the pen comes from Warhol's powerful work Flowers, 1964. Four flower motifs in characteristically bold colors are placed in the style of this work in a 2 by 2 formation on the cap. As a reference to the un-going commentary on commercialism made by Warhol's art, the cone is embellished with one of Warhol's chosen symbols for this discourse: the barcode. The dollar sign engraved on the handcrafted 750 gold nib is from his 1981 Dollar Signs series. In a tribute to Warhol's legendary studio, The Silver Factory, the barrel is silver colored. The pen is covered with valuable grey lacquer and is complete with a clip shaped like a squeegee and the brand's iconic star logo on the cap top.
