The quick and dirty way to fix this is to replace the rear bearing with an OEM new one. If you have the chance, having the whole driveshaft rebuilt (costs about $250) is a good idea (but you'll still need new carrier bearings). Both front and rear bearings are the same on the 1G. They're different parts on the 2G car.
