Three ways people actually use it
What's in the pack
One mat (single pack) or two mats (two-pack). 22.6 cm long by 12.5 cm wide — about the size of a paperback. Available in black, beige, or grey.
Care
Hand-rinse under warm water for daily use. Dishwasher safe on the top rack for a deeper clean. Microwave safe if you want to soften something on the mat. Freezer safe if you want to extend the lick time — wet food spread thin and frozen will hold a dog's attention for thirty minutes or more.
FAQs
Will it stick to the floor?
The base has suction cups that hold reliably on tile, glass, smooth wood, and the side of a bath. They don't grip well on rugs, soft vinyl, or rough textured floors — use it on a smooth surface for best results.
Is it safe in the microwave and freezer?
Yes to both. Food-grade silicone tolerates freezer temperatures down to about -40°C and microwave heating up to roughly 230°C. Don't put empty silicone in a hot microwave — always with food on it.
What can I put on it?
Anything spreadable and dog-safe. Wet food, plain yoghurt (no xylitol), peanut butter (xylitol-free — check the label), pureed pumpkin, mashed banana, soft cheese, bone broth thickened with kibble. Avoid anything with grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, or chocolate.
How long does a meal last on it?
Five to ten minutes at room temperature. Twenty to thirty minutes if you freeze it first. Depends on how determined your dog is and how thinly you spread.
One mat or two?
One is enough if you've got one dog and you're using it once a day. The two-pack saves £4.95 and makes sense if you've got two dogs, want one for downstairs and one for upstairs, or like having a clean spare while one's in the dishwasher.
What size dog is it for?
Small to medium dogs at meal-time portions, or any size dog as a treat / focus mat with a spoon of something soft. It's 22.6 × 12.5 cm — paperback-sized — so it's not a full meal surface for a large breed.
