Just as the Super Cub and Super Decathlon evolved into more capable and powerful aircraft, the E-flite® Super Timber® 1.7m represents the ultimate evolution of the legendary Timber series. Larger than previous Timber X 1.2m, Turbo Timber 1.5m, and Twin Timber 1.6m models, this version introduces a more versatile 4S–6S power system and a host of premium upgrades that truly earn the “Super” name. From inflatable tundra tires with beadlock wheels to heavy-duty articulated landing gear, glue-free leading-edge slats, and fastener-free wing and tail attachment, every detail is engineered for performance, convenience, and durability.
The Super Timber 1.7m delivers unmatched flexibility, excelling at everything from relaxed cruising and precision sport flying to aggressive aerobatics—all while maintaining the outstanding Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) capability pilots expect from the Timber family. Its rugged landing gear features inflatable rubber tires and forward-angled, shock-absorbing struts designed to reduce nose-overs and handle rough terrain with confidence. Optional leading-edge slats clip securely into place without glue and can be installed or removed in seconds, allowing pilots to tailor the aircraft’s performance to their flying style.
Assembly is fast and tool-free, with snap-in horizontal stabilizers and plug-in wing panels that feature hands-free servo connections and innovative locking mechanisms. A custom fuselage clip safely stores the wing joiner tube when the wings are removed, making transport and storage easier than ever. Oversized control surfaces driven by digital metal-geared servos provide excellent authority, while multi-position flaps can even be configured for full-span aileron functionality.
Power comes from a specially tuned brushless motor paired with an 85-amp Spektrum™ Avian Smart Lite ESC, delivering real-time telemetry data when used with compatible receivers and transmitters. The Bind-N-Fly® Basic version includes a Spektrum™ AR637TA receiver with AS3X® stabilization and optional SAFE® Select flight envelope protection, along with motor/thrust reversing for enhanced ground handling and shorter landing rollouts. A large top-mounted hatch and adjustable battery tray make battery changes quick and easy, accommodating most 4S to 6S 3200–5000mAh LiPo packs.
