Walt Peregoy, an innovative background artist and color stylist, is best known for his groundbreaking work on 101 Dalmatians (1961). His use of stylized backgrounds and inventive color palettes redefined Disney's animation style, giving 101 Dalmatians its unique appearance. Throughout his career, Peregoy also contributed to other iconic Disney films, such as Sleeping Beauty (1959), The Sword in the Stone (1963), and The Jungle Book (1967).
His artistic vision also extended beyond Disney, with collaborations at studios such as Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros., where he continued to push creative boundaries. Officially named a Disney Legend in 2008, Peregoy's artistic legacy endures, continuing to inspire animators and artists today. This original artwork, in very good condition, offers a rare glimpse into the abstract genius of Walt Peregoy (1925-2015).
