Dr Grinspoon has been named “The Thinking Mans Sativa” and the origins of its predecessor “Hostilis” fit aptly with that. This strain was created with the curiosity of new possibilities, purely in the interest of what could be achieved by taking a modern sativa hybrid with a compact structure and quick flowering time and mixing the genetics with an old school classic with a much larger and untamed structure, to create this feminized poly-hybrid, and also in search of different cannabinoid and terpene ratios.
Dr Grinspoon is notoriously low in CBD, opening up the possibilities for new levels in potency with minimal CBD levels - This could potentially have “hostile” cerebral effects.... indicating partly where its name “Hostilis” originated.
Being descendant from the great “mimosa”, this strain opens the window for amazing flavours, with many phenotypes of this plant containing high levels of beta myrcene and the rarer terpene omicene, giving it a unique terpene profile of ripe pears and adding something different in aroma and looks to any garden.
Most phenotypes flower In a manageable 10 weeks, yet keeping the massive sativa frame making it advantageous for yield and training possibilities. This plant is very versatile and requires minimal feed for a plant so large, in all a sativa lovers dream.
