Reproduction of Holiday Nutcrackers II by Farida Zaman
Farida Zaman — "Holiday Nutcrackers II" is a masterful example of contemporary figurative art that draws deeply from the traditions of folk art and holiday illustration. The work aligns with a broader revival of handcrafted aesthetics, positioning itself within the retro revival movement that celebrates mid-century design and nostalgic imagery. Zaman employs a deliberately naive and stylized approach, eschewing photorealism in favor of bold, flat planes of color and simplified forms that evoke the charm of a child’s toy. The composition is centered and balanced, with the nutcracker figure occupying the full vertical axis, creating a sense of stability and focus. The artist’s use of a high-contrast palette—dominated by the rich, saturated green and red—establishes a dynamic visual rhythm that is both eye-catching and harmonious. The technique, likely employing acrylic or gouache, results in a matte finish that enhances the hand-painted quality, allowing the colors to appear rich yet unpretentious. This work is situated within the broader context of modern decorative art, where the line between fine art and craft is intentionally blurred. Its interpretive significance lies in its ability to evoke a shared cultural memory, transforming a simple holiday icon into a symbol of joy and tradition. The piece is visually compelling not only for its vibrant color but for its emotional resonance, capturing the essence of holiday cheer in a way that is both accessible and artistically refined. For more art by Farida Zaman click here.

Fit. With Modification.
I lost one of my housings on the freeway and had a hard time finding the style I had. Different than the standard, but not the Euro ones. Hard to find, at least for me. These were a bit closer to what mine looked like. I had to remove the rubber gasket around the housing to get it to fit (2003 330XI) but it worked like a charm.

Not a proper fit
Received as promised by the seller.
My cons on this item:
1) the socket holes does not make a tight fit with the light bulb sockets I have. Both issues for left and right. I had to double the o-ring on my light sockets to make it tight fit.
2) The rubbers around the casing was not properly glued in. The rubber sticks out by a few centimeters. Pics attached.
