Their winemaker, Jessica Tomei, explores vineyards all over the world to source the best grapes possible for Cupcake wines but this little number came from her very own backyard, California’s Central Coast, with grapes from California’s esteemed Monterey County. This wine epitomizes the Central Coast’s crisp and vibrant Chardonnay character. Malolactic fermentation imparts a rich buttery flavour, whilst being left sur lie achieves a full, soft body. Aging takes place over nine months in premium American oak barrels to enhance the golden colour, adding a creamy texture and injecting nuances of subtle toasty oak and spice.
