Apple quoted 18 hours of battery life. The M2 chip is efficient, but sustained demanding work including video export, large Xcode builds, external display use and intensive browser sessions will push the battery harder. Signs your MacBook Air 13" M2 battery may need replacing
The M2 chip handles light tasks almost invisibly in terms of power draw, but more demanding workflows put a real load on the 52.6Wh cell. Users working heavily in Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or similar applications often see battery wear progress faster than casual users.

How to confirm your model
Go to Apple Menu > About This Mac > System Report > Hardware Overview to check your model identifier.
This repair covers: A2681, EMC 4074.
The model number is also printed on the underside of the machine near the hinge. If you are unsure, bring the MacBook in and we will confirm the model before starting any work.
The A2681 uses MagSafe 3 as its primary charging connector. It also supports charging through either USB-C Thunderbolt port. If MagSafe charging is intermittent but USB-C works, the MagSafe port itself may be the issue rather than the battery.

- If the chassis is bent or the machine has been previously opened, we will advise on any complications before starting
- If there has been liquid exposure, a battery replacement may not resolve all issues. We confirm our findings before proceeding
- If the screen is lifting slightly from the chassis, book as soon as possible. This can indicate a swollen battery that needs urgent attention
- If the machine is completely dead, we carry out a diagnosis before confirming the repair
